Why I Sell Sunchokes
A few years ago, I started paying more attention to my diet due to rising blood sugar. I began looking for natural foods to support a healthier lifestyle. That’s when I discovered Jerusalem artichokes — also known as sunchokes — a unique root vegetable naturally rich in fiber and inulin, a type of prebiotic.
I was excited to find sunchoke powder online — it seemed like a convenient way to try them. But I’ve always been cautious about buying flour or powders online, especially when it comes to food safety during shipping.
So I kept researching and was surprised to learn that Jerusalem artichokes are actually very easy to grow at home. I found some tubers and started planting. The first season was a huge success — I had a beautiful garden full of tall flowers and a great harvest of fresh sunchokes.
That’s when I thought: why not offer these tubers online so more people can grow their own? They’re not only a beautiful addition to any garden, but also a delicious and healthy food you can harvest in the fall.
That’s how I began selling sunchoke tubers — and my journey continues to grow, just like these plants. I’m passionate about gardening, healthy living, and I hope to offer more edible plants in the future for people who care about natural food, just like I do.
🌱 I also share tips, growing experiences, and gardening ideas on my blog.
